They have turned their season around and have not lost in their last four league games. They beat AFC Bournemouth convincingly 4-0, then outlasted West Bromwich Albion 2-1 before adding to Chelsea's misery with a 3-0 victory.
However, in their last game, City had to settle for a point with a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United.
Now, with only four games left in the season, City have a real shot to climb the rankings as they only have one team left to face who are above them at the moment.
On the other hand, Stoke City are desperately trying to look for a win as they have only won once in their last six league games.
They last beat Watford in the league and have tasted heavy defeats in their last two games.
Against Liverpool, Stoke City were thrashed at Anfield 4-1, and when they hosted Tottenham Hotspur, they allowed four goals again as they failed to put the ball past the defence.
However, one thing going for them at the moment against City is their 2-0 win at the Britannia Stadium earlier this year.
