United also have suffered a host of injuries with Paul Pogba, Marouane Fellaini and Eric Bailly all out through injury, along with Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who will be out long term. If United do manage to win today they would be on the verge of qualification for the knock out stages of the competition - something they have not achieved since the 2013-2014 season.
Historically Benfica have not enjoyed their fixtures against United; having won just once in their nine games against them, and that record is unlikely to improve in today's match.
