Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Fight Could Still Be Possible in May 2015?
Both fans and the fighters themselves have been yearning for a super-bout in recent years and it seems that they might finally have their chance. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr. could take to the ring in May 2015.
Mayweather is still willing to fight Pacquiao despite having previously failed negotiations for a fight. Even before negotiations, fans and officials didn't believe that the fight between the boxing superstars would happen.
Pacquiao's coach, Freddie Roach, said that Mayweather does not want to fight Pacquiao to risk his undefeated streak.

"Floyd's main concern has become keeping that zero losses on his record. I don't see him taking any real risk of losing that before the end of next year, when he says he's retiring," Roach told Daily Mail UK.
"It's not that he's afraid of Manny. No fighters are scared of anybody in the world. It's just that he believes that if he goes out undefeated he will be seen as better than greats like Sugar Ray Robinson, who had losses on their records," Roach adds.
Mayweather is currently set for a fight against Marcos Maidana on Sept. 13 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The number one pound-for-pound fighter is not very keen on fighting Pacquiao, rather he is willing because of the money involved. Pacquiao had challenged Mayweather telling him to put up or shut up.
The challenge from Pacquiao is not surprising as Mayweather had repeatedly taunted and trash-talked his rival in recent years leading up to his success.
The hints about the May 2015 super fight comes from Pacquiao's contract extension with promoter Top Rank as well as his commitment to Bob Arum's outfit until 2016 up to his retirement. Pacquiao's fights are mostly shown on HBO while Mayweather's are shown on HBO's rival Showtime. Because of this, the fight was not likely to happen unless Mayweather is willing to return to HBO.
