Marilyn Manson Injury News: Falling Prop Hurts Rock Singer; Nine Upcoming Shows Canceled
Rock singer and artist Marilyn Manson was rushed to the hospital amid his Saturday evening concert in New York after a stage prop fell on him, thereby injuring the artist.
Manson and his team needed to immediately cancel the said show. And now, reports have confirmed that the rock icon will not be able to proceed with his nine upcoming concerts which were part of their "Heaven Upside Down" tour.
The singer and his band were performing for less than an hour at the Hammerstein Ballroom on Saturday evening when Manson tried to climb up an elevated stage prop which was decorated with two enormous pistols that were about double his size.
As seen on videos taken by concertgoers, the said prop became unstable as Manson was trying to climb it and immediately fell on him. Stage personnel rushed to Manson to lift the giant pistols. Shortly after, the stage curtains closed and fans were told that the show had to be canceled.
Manson's team would not give specific details on his sustained injuries but told Variety: "Manson suffered an injury towards the end of an incredible NYC show. He is being treated at a local hospital."
