Nintendo handily announced the good news via their official Nintendo of America Twitter account on Wednesday. It can be remembered that the game was first unveiled during the E3 2015. And now it's coming very soon to bring an exciting and unique way to play the tennis sport. IGN reported that the game will be exclusive to the Wii U platform and new features have been added to increase gaming experience.
In Nintendo's official website, the Japanese game publisher detailed that they have added a new move that will surely surprise the opponent. It's called the Jumpshot which will send the ball flying down the court. The game is very interactive as it features multiplayer matches. Players can go up against friends and family in both singles (1v1) and doubles (2v2) matches.
New Mega Battles has also been added and this is where the players may be able to obtain the Mega Mushroom to get a "big" advantage over the opponent. Every movement of the character on the court can also be controlled in order to get the better of the challenger. Precise timing and correct shot will be needed on this one.
The site also mentioned that new characters have been incorporated to the game and will make their "Mario Tennis" debut. However, fans will have to wait to find out who they are as Nintendo did not further detail the characters that are never before seen in the series. But rest assured, Mario, Bowser and Peach will be back on the court. Later on, more updates will surface and new power-ups will be revealed.
