Marisa Miller Baby Bump: Model Reacts to Nude Photos, Weight Gain After Pregnancy
The Marisa Miller baby bump was featured in a recent Allure photo shoot that celebrated the beauty of a pregnant woman's body. In her interview with the magazine, Miller reacted to her nude photo shoot and her baby weight gain following the pregnancy of her first child with husband Griffin Guess.
The photos show Miller baring her baby bump before the camera. She is featured in several black-and-white and sepia pictures taken by photographer Brian Bowen Smith.
The 33-year-old model told Allure how she felt about the naked shoot, saying she wanted to "show off the belly."
"I always felt, even before I got pregnant, that it's better to accentuate your curves," said Miller. "A lot of women try to tuck their butt in or kind of slouch because they're trying to hide. Obviously, you can't suck it in, but it's important to really show off the belly. For some reason, for me, from the side it looks the biggest, so that's what I tried to do."
On Nov. 30, Miller tweeted this post along with photos from the shoot: "Finally here are my belly photos! Thank you @brianbowensmith for my most treasured photos ever!"
Miller shared that at the beginning of her pregnancy, she tried to keep up with her favorite workout paddle boarding but due to the extra weight gain in front she had to stop when she was 17 weeks along.
Marisa Miller's baby bump caused her "center of gravity and balance" to be off.
"I looked so funny standing up on the board with all that extra weight in front," admitted the soon-to-be mom.
During the second trimester, Miller tried a different exercise routine that included pilates. These days , as she is preparing for her due date, she is doing stretching and breathing exercises.
To keep stretch marks from forming, Miller said she applies a concoction of shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, and vitamin E all around her baby bump.
In the interview with Allure, Miller also opened up about how she is taking her weight gain. She has reportedly gained about 30 pounds during her pregnancy.
She said, "I had never even owned a scale before, but gaining weight is part of charting your progress. Yes, I was seeing numbers I'd never seen before, but I let go of that because I had a new goal and focus."
