Mark Ruffalo Hulk Modeled After Actor
Mark Ruffalo has opened up about his character, The Hulk, just days away from "The Avengers" hitting theaters.
The actor, 44, stars alongside Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., and Chris Evans as one of "The Earth's Mightiest Heroes" in the action film.
Ruffalo's portrayal of Bruce Banner and his green alter-ego The Hulk was a "great experience," he told Collider.com. The actor has since received the green light to play Hulk in a six-movie deal.

"I'll never forget the first day I walked on set in my leotard," recounted Ruffalo of his superhero costume on the film's set, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Immediately I saw half of the crew and cast start to giggle," the Oscar-nominated actor continued. "But when I freaked out I was actually pretty scary."
Also speaking about his appearance on set, Ruffalo told The Advocate that he avoided razors.
"No one's asked me to shave my chest yet, thank God," said the famously hairy actor. "They want this Hulk to be as close to me as possible. I'll be playing him in motion-capture, so this Hulk will just be a bigger avatar version of me."
The highly-anticipated film will see the animated version of Ruffalo that resembles the actor, despite being a muscular mass of green.
"As they're modeling him, they're using many of my own features, down to my scars and wrinkles. He will have body hair, but I don't know to what extent," added the actor.
Ruffalo is well known for his roles in "Shutter Island," "You Can Count On Me," and "The Kids Are All RIght," for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting actor, among many other films.
Directed by Joss Whedon, "The Avengers" hits theaters everywhere Friday, May 4. The film also sees Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, and Samuel L. Jackson.
