Mark Ruffalo to Do a 'Planet Hulk' Spinoff Movie?
Mark Ruffalo, who plays Hulk in "The Avengers" Marvel franchise, has expressed his interest in doing "Planet Hulk" solo movie for Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
As Marvel Studios steps up its marketing for "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" prior to its May 1 premiere, Mark Ruffalo, who has played the Hulk in the last three Marvel Cinematic Universe films, has voiced his interest in a "Planet Hulk" solo movie .
As with Black Widow's Scarlett Johansson, who had earlier expressed her eagerness for her character's own movie, Ruffalo, 47, who is currently filming thriller "Now You See Me: The Second Act" with Jesse Eisenberg and Woody Harrelson, believes there are still a lot of places the Hulk can go.

Ruffalo has hinted to IGN there have been talks of bringing to light the "Planet Hulk" Marvel Comics storyline, which highlighted the superheroes decision to send the Hulk away to a savage alien planet in its 2006 to 2007 publications.
However, Ruffalo continued he hasn't been actively involved in the talks on Hulk's story arc development, particularly since a standalone film for the green-skinned Avenger hasn't been part of MCU's slate of announced films.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe, which began with "Iron Man" in 2008 and is continuing with its eleventh film, "Age of Ultron" in phase two of the MCU development, has yet to reveal whether there are any plans of including a solo movie for Hulk.
In its timeline, which currently ends at phase three with the 22nd film "Inhumans" scheduled for July 2019, there has been no mention of a solo film for its green-skinned juggernaut, however, given the success of the franchise, there have been plenty of speculations surrounding a "Planet Hulk" movie for Dr. Bruce Banner's large and violent alter ego.
With his mostly understated performance as Banner, foregoing much of the inner drama in the same characters previously played by Eric Bana and Edward Norton, much of Ruffalo's prime performances have been as the aggressive green "smasher."
Studio head, Kevin Feige has said if Marvel ever decides to greenlight a standalone Hulk project, "60 percent of the fun would be seeing Mark Ruffalo leading a Marvel movie – and that's what we would do if we ever went down that road."
