Javi Marroquin admitted that he was hoping to have another chance in love with his ex-wife Kailyn Lowry when he agreed to join "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" season 9.

In an interview with US Weekly, the 24-year-old reality show star revealed that he believed that the WE tv series could help make her realize that she still loves her.

"I did, in my heart, kind of hope this boot camp would make her fall in love with me," the "Teen Mom 2" star stated. "So I still held on."

The estranged couple who share a three-year-old son named Lincoln reportedly parted ways after Marroquin heard rumors about Lowry's cheating ways when he was still deployed by the military. But during the premiere of the current season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars," Lowry explained that she believed that she was not cheating on him because they were already separated at that time.

The premiere episode also opened up about Marroquin's own cheating incident involving Lowry's friend named Becky, who was also seen kissing her during a Pride event back in 2016. However, the father of one claimed that Becky's presence in his life was actually irrelevant.

While the reconciliation between the former lovers due to the show became impossible since Lowry moved on to another relationship and gave birth to a new son named Lux Russell with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez, Marroquin revealed that the boot camp made them realized a lot of things.

"Once you get home, you reflect on all the drills and what they taught us and I'm so happy and our relationship is great. Right now we are co-parenting really well," he also said.

Aside from Lowry and Marroquin, the cast of the ninth season of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" also include "Love & Hip Hop: New York" stars Amina Buddafly and Peter Gunz, "Shahs of Sunset" stars Asifa Mirza and Bobby Panahi, former the "Bachelor in Paradise" contestants Juelia Kinney and JJ Lane, Bad Girls Club member and "Texas Temptation" alum Meghan James and her former college football star boyfriend Deandre Perry, as well as resident experts Dr. Venus Nicolino and Dr. Ish Major.

We TV airs the latest episodes of "Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars" season 9 every Friday at 9 p.m. EDT.
