'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' season 3 plot news: Warn and Skye's relationship
News about the upcoming season of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." have been revealed by cast and crew of the series.
Fans of the series continue to wonder if season 3 will see Ward, played by Brett Dalton, and Skye, played by Chloe Bennet, back together. According to TV Line, executive producer Jeff Bell hinted that they might not exactly deal with their romantic relationship right now. He explained that Dalton had already moved on from Daisy after she shot him last year.
Furthermore, he revealed that the third season will put an emphasis on Hydra. He said, "This is not like your father's Hydra. In the past, they have been about world domination and all these things like that. It's not so much pro-world domination as it is anti-S.H.I.E.L.D. This is the yin to Coulson's yang. This is Hydra in Ward's vision. Ward isn't for formality and all of that."
Even though Ward will be leading Hydra for the upcoming season, it was hinted that he will still keep Skye at the back of his mind. Skye was a major reason why Ward is set to take down Coulson's organization. With that, Bell added, "S.H.I.E.L.D. can be directly responsible, in his eyes, for two failed relationships that he's tried to have that were very important to him — one with Skye and one with Agent 33. If it weren't for S.H.I.E.L.D. meddling in all his affairs, he'd be a much happier man. So there's an axe to grind."
Meanwhile, Skye will go through a few changes for the season. It was reported that she received a new haircut, as well as a new name, Daisy. It was said that since Coulson placed a lot of trust on Skye, she will be helping him organize the Secret Warriors. Since she is working with Coulson, the idea of a relationship with Ward is highly unlikely as she still holds a grudge against him.
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. season 3 is expected to premiere on Sept. 29.
