'Marvel's Luke Cage' plot & cast revealed, to arrive in Netflix next year

"Marvel's Luke Cage" is going to arrive soon on Netflix and fans are really looking forward for the superhero's own series as the "hero for hire" will first appear as a supporting character in "Jessica Jones" airing on Nov. 20 already. According to Games Radar, Marvel TV has already confirmed the plot of the upcoming "Luke Cage" series.

Some details are already known but the official synopsis tells viewers that Luke Cage, played by Mike Colter, will be involved in a sabotaged experiment. Because of that, he will procure "super strength and unbreakable skin." He also turned into a fugitive in an attempt to fix his life while living in modern day Harlem, New York City. But his life will make a 180 degree turn as he is called out of the shadows and uses his power to fight for his city. Along the way, he will need to face his past that he tried to bury a long time ago.

Making the series more interesting are the cast members for the characters that Netflix keeps adding. Movie Pilot revealed that Mahershala Ali will be taking the role as big bad Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes. He is a Harlem nightclub owner who will turn out to be Luke Cage's adversary. More of the reason for their clashes will be unveiled soon but it has something to do with Stokes' criminal activities.
