"Marvel's Most Wanted" Gets Pilot Order

With the continued success of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.," ABC is not stopping itself from coming up with new ideas for new shows at the network. According to an IGN report, Marvel has reportedly ordered a pilot for a spinoff of the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."

The spinoff, which is tentatively called "Marvel's Most Wanted", will reportedly star the character Mockingbird, otherwise known as Bobbi Morse in the hit superhero series. In the series, the character is played by Adrianne Palicki and with the pilot order, she is expected to cross over to the new series if needed. The project will also reportedly feature Morse's on-and-off partner Lance Hunter, who is played by Nick Blood.

The IGN report also mentioned that as early as April 2015, rumors about the spinoff project were already circulating but were quickly followed by news that it was no longer pushing through.

Recent reports however point to a revival of the project. Another report in BGR mentioned that the project was junked early on, but ABC president Paul Lee himself later hinted that "the show might rise from the ashes after all" and added, "It certainly is a possibility of spinning them off." The report also said that the network has yet to decide if it will eventually run the spinoff as it all depends on how the public will respond to the pilot. If this is the case, then the upcoming season of "S.H.I.E.L.D." may possibly touch on how the characters of Morse and Hunter will be leaving the team.

The IGN report identified Jeff Bell and Paul Zbyszewski as the show's creators and writers. They are also named as executive producers and showrunners. Jeph Loeb, who is Marvel's head of television, will also be executive producing.

An earlier report described the series as "an entirely new project solely focused on the two characters to continue their story. 'Marvel's Most Wanted' will follow the pair and their adventures together."
