Marvin Sapp Blasts Women Showing Up at His Home Uninvited
Marvin Sapp, 47-year-old pastor and gospel singer, is speaking out against women who seem to be stalking his home.
Sapp raises his three children as a full-time single father years after his wife died from cancer. Now, it seems random women have been showing up to his home unwelcomed and Sapp is speaking out against the invasion of his space.
He started by letting women know that he did not use social media as a dating method.
"IMPORTANT!!!! WOMEN PLEASE STOP SHOWING UP AT MY HOME!!! I haven't and won't inbox you if I'm interested," Sapp let millions of people know on Facebook. "I'm not communicating with you via social media or through subliminal messaging. I'm not inboxing you asking for any amounts of money for anything."
Sapp made things even more personal when he spoke about an experience he had with an unwanted visitor.
"And to the woman that showed up today at 7:30am I have the make, model and license plate of your automobile and have reported it to the authorities. #ThisMustStop #UNWANTEDATTENTION," Sapp wrote on Facebook.
Sapp's message was met with mixed reactions. Some people believe he should not have blasted his personal issue on social media.
"With all do respect. I think what you're doing by blasting it on social media isn't helping," one person responded to his Facebook message. "It's giving it more attention. Report these women, step up the security at your home. Keep it pushing."
However, others had compassion for Sapp's situation.
"OMG!!! Pastor I'm so sorry that this is happening to you," another person wrote. "PRAYING for you and your children!!! Women SIT DOWN and STOP!!! LEAVE THE MAN ALONE!!!"
Earlier this year, Sapp was forced to take out a restraining order against one woman who claimed to be his wife. The gospel singer previously spoke to Eurweb.com about missing his late wife, MaLinda Sapp, who lost her battle with colon cancer.
"There are days when I get up and I cry, thinking of her. There are days thinking of her and I smile," Sapp told the website. "There are days when I'm angry. Days that I'm not … we miss her."
Sapp and his wife were the head pastors at Lighthouse Full Life Center Church in Grand Rapids, Mich., before she passed away.
