They first confirmed that the new hero for the next Mass Effect title will be human and had something to do with N7, a name that had something to do with the previous ME trilogy and with its protagonist Shepard.

The panelists also repeated the fact that the next title's storyline will have nothing to do with the storyline of the previous titles, and will be a brand new plot. However, the story will still be taking place within Shepard's timeline. Cameos with old characters like Garrus or Miranda is likely.

Aside from a customisable armor design for the new character, the Mako will also be making its return to the next title. The Mako was a six-wheeled vehicle that first appeared in the first game and allowed the player to traverse the terrain of a planet surface.

With a new protagonist and a new storyline, new characters and a larger universe will accompany the next Mass Effect title and has a lot of fans expectant.
