'Mass Effect: Andromeda' 1.05 Update April 2017 Features: Bug Fixes, Graphics and Faces

The producer of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has recently announced the release of the 1.05 update on Thursday, April 6. The patch is expected to fix many of the bugs and graphical issues that BioWare has promised to improve on.

Earlier this week, BioWare has posted a blog entry on what issues and improvements the "Mass Effect: Andromeda" patch 1.05 will address. Among a laundry list of technical issues to be improved upon, a few of them looks to be related to the criticisms that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has received from critics and players.

These proposed fixes include "Improved logic, timing and continuity for relationships and story arcs," "Improved lip-sync and facial acting during some conversations, including localized VO," "Fixed an issue with Ryder's movements when running in a zig zag pattern" and "Improved the appearance of eyes for human and asari characters," according to the patch notes.

Two days later, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" producer Michael Gamble made a Twitter post announcing that Patch 1.05 has been released, and Gamble made note to players to pay attention to the eyes before asking for feedback.

Fans and critics have more or less reacted positively to the changes made by the new update. The graphics upgrade, in particular, was very well received, as noted by GameSpot. Another popular change was the option to skip the long-transition animations when traveling between planets in the galaxy map. The update also fixed a common player complaint by improving the facial animations and lip-syncing during dialogs.

BioWare is just getting started, according to Games Radar. The production team behind "Mass Effect: Andromeda" still has more than two months' worth of updates, and will continue to listen to player feedback.
