'Mass Effect: Andromeda' News: Bioware to Show Off 'a Bit of the Game' Tomorrow; Screenshots Leaked
The press will be treated to a preview of BioWare's highly anticipated action role-playing video game, "Mass Effect: Andromeda," tomorrow, Feb. 16.
This was announced on Twitter by franchise producer Michael Gamble who showed excitement to finally be able to show more of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" especially since they have been keeping most of the game under wraps despite its nearing launch.
"Excited to show a bit of the game to some press tomorrow. Finally that time. Feels amazing," he tweeted out as he announced the big day.
It is unclear if the public will also get to see whatever BioWare plans to showcase for "Mass Effect: Andromeda" as he explicitly mentioned the press. This means that this might simply be for review.
Either way, fans have no reason to fret should the presentation be limited to the press. Screenshots from "Mass Effect: Andromeda" found their way to the internet, thanks to game insider Shinobi1602.
The images feature the characters from the game including protagonist Sara Ryder and her father Alec Ryder. Another character — an asari — never showcased from the trailer is also seen.
"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is one of the much-awaited titles of 2017. With its release just a stone's throw away, fans can expect to see more of it in the coming weeks.
Gamble recently spoke to the Official Xbox Magazine, where he emphasized that the fourth "Mass Effect" title is not open-world.
"I definitely wouldn't call Andromeda an open-world game," Gamble said as quoted by GamesRadar. "We like to use the term 'exploration-based game.' You still have the concept of tight story deliverance and all the great things you come to expect with Mass Effect," he went on to say.
He said that while "Mass Effect: Andromeda" has a layer of exploration at the outset, "it's not the traditional sandbox-type game."
"Mass Effect Andromeda" will be released for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 (PS4) and PC on March 21.
