'Mass Effect: Andromeda' News: First Set of Updates Detailed, Bug Fixes and Quest Improvements Included

Multiplayer mode improvements also included in first few 'Mass Effect: Andromeda' updates

"Mass Effect: Andromeda" is almost here for players all over the world, and once they do get their hands on the game, it looks there will already be some updates waiting for them.

Over on Reddit, some players have mentioned that the digital pre-load for the PlayStation 4 version of the sci-fi role-playing game is apparently up and ready to be downloaded.

On top of that, it also looks as though some updates have already gone live as well, according to a recent report from PlayStation Lifestyle.

To be more specific, three different updates can now be downloaded too.

Update 1.01 appears to be the most significant one, as it contains some new features.

Several pieces of new artwork for challenges, codex entries and even multiplayer characters are included in the update. More multiplayer tutorials are also found in Update 1.01 to go with improvements that are designed to make the Strike Team user interface screens look better.

Different weapons and rewards have also been balanced further and quests have been improved as well.

Some of the cinematics and character interactions that take place inside "Mass Effect: Andromeda" will also be presented better with the update installed.

As for Update 1.02, this one is more about balancing quests and eliminating some bugs. Update 1.03 is similarly focused on improving game performance by getting rid of more previously existing bugs.

Players who did pre-order the digital version of "Andromeda" and are planning to pre-load it now will need to have plenty of available memory ready since the whole thing will apparently take up just a little over 45GB of space.

Even for those players who did not pre-order the game, the wait is nearly over for them as well, as "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is finally set to be officially released in full in North America on March 21.
