'Mass Effect: Andromeda': Prices for Microtransaction Packages Revealed, Discounts for EA Access Subscribers

Most expensive 'Mass Effect Andromeda' microtransaction bundle priced at $99.99

Beyond the RPG-style gameplay, the new storylines to uncover, characters to meet and places to explore, "Mass Effect: Andromeda" also features microtransactions for its multiplayer component.

To be more specific, there are things known as Andromeda Points that are available for players to purchase.

Andromeda Points are purchased with real world money, and they can act as an alternative for the in-game currency that players can acquire through playing the game itself.

According to the listings for the Andromeda Points bundles posted over on the Microsoft Store, there are six different options available for players to choose from.

The least expensive bundle costs $4.99 and it provides 500 Andromeda Points. Next up, players can get the 1050 Andromeda Points bundle that is on sale for $9.99.

In exchange for $19.99, players can receive 2150 Andromeda Points, and for $29.99, they will receive 3250 Andromeda Points.

Another step up the ladder and available for $49.99 is the 5750 Andromeda Points bundle. Lastly, players who have some money to burn can buy 12000 Andromeda Points for $99.99.

It is also worth noting that "Mass Effect: Andromeda" players who are also EA Access subscribers will be offered discounts for the aforementioned Andromeda Points packages.

Once players have enough of these Andromeda Points or the other form of in-game currency, they can then use them to get blind card packs that yield random items. These blind card packs can yield character kits, weapons and other types of items. But again, there is an element of luck involved here, so there is no guarantee that players will always get what they want.

Additionally, it was also revealed in an earlier report from Game Informer that there is a different kind of shop in the game that offers other types of loot. Items at this other store can be purchased using real world money or currency that can be accumulated by playing the game.

More news about "Mass Effect: Andromeda" should be made available in the near future.
