'Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials' news: Trailer and character posters released
Several character teasers, as well as official trailer, were revealed by 20th Century Fox for the upcoming "Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials."
Dylan O'Brien, who will be playing a character in the upcoming series, gave hints on what the new installment will hold for the franchise. He confirmed that his character Thomas will face several challenges. He will be joined by Teresa played by Kaya Scodelario, Newt played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Minho played by Ki Hong Lee, Frypan played by Dexter Darden, and Winston played by Alexander Flores.
According to Hollywire TV, the actor revealed details on the numerous surprises that Thomas will see after finishing the maze. He teased that the exit from the maze will only ignite a more exciting journey, compared to their adventures inside the maze. It is expected that the upcoming "The Scorch Trials" will see the group learning more about the Scorch. Fans of the book will know that it is a burned part of the world. While they go through the region, the Wicked will present challenges to them that will further complicate their journey.
Those who have finished the novel by James Dashner can also expect surprises as the film intends to change several ideas of the story. Under the direction of Wes Ball, the changes of the film were allowed by Dashner as they intend to push the story further and bring an unexpected twist. With the official first trailer released, fans can also enjoy the posted character teasers for the upcoming film. The trailer revealed the discoveries of the upcoming film with the statement, "I think it's safe to say the maze trials were a complete success. It's too soon to say, but they could be the key to everything. It's time now to begin phase two."
"Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials" will be available in theaters this Sept. 18.
