Meagan Good Not Ready For Kids
Meagan Good is speaking about her plans to start a family.
Good, the 32-year-old Christian actress who is married to preacher and Hollywood executive DeVon Franklin, recently appeared on The Wendy Williams show where she revealed that her mother wanted a grandchild. Still, the "Anchorman 2" actress said the couple is not yet ready.
"My mom definitely is ready for it to happen," Good told Williams. "We're not ready yet, a little bit longer. We want to enjoy being married."
After Good appeared at the 12th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree in a form fitting red dress earlier this year, Mediatakout.com reported that she was expecting her first child. A fan decided to question the actress about the reports on Twitter.
"Are you preggers," the fan questioned Good on Twitter.
The actress did not shy away from providing a candid response.
"No ma'am," she responded on the social networking website. "Too much pizza ;)"
Earlier this year, Good told talk show host Wendy Williams that the couple were not ready to have children just yet.
"The only pitter patter I'm going to hear right now is my niece Penny and her little sister on the way," Good told Williams.
Good began dating 35-year-old Franklin on the set of their joint movie venture "Jumping the Broom," recently celebrated her and Franklin's one year wedding anniversary last June. The actress took to Instagram to dedicate a special message to her husband.
"You have changed my life... your real unconditional love, spirit, non-judgement and patience has helped me grow and healed many wounds," Good wrote to her husband. "...You are God's blessing that has given me the most joy I have ever experienced -and more joy then I never knew was possible."
The Christian actress spoke about the love of God being shown through the love of her husband.
"I can halfway fathom the depths of God's love for me - because he sent me you," she wrote. "You are my partner in purpose... my best friend...your essence has helped refine the woman that I already was in spirit- to manifest in the flesh."
