Update – September 13, 2016 – 11:00 p.m. ET: The winning numbers for Tuesday's Mega Millions jackpot are 6, 15, 17, 39, 56 and the megaball is 15. The Megaplier is 3x.
No one was able to win the $111 million jackpot in the previous Mega Millions drawing last Sep. 9, 2016, Friday.
The winning numbers were 1, 34, 43, 44 and 63. The yellow ball was 11 and the Megaplier was 4x. The estimated jackpot in the upcoming Mega Millions drawing on Sep. 13, 2016, Tuesday has increased to $122 million with a cash option of $82 million.

While no one was able to land the Mega Millions jackpot prize, there were three people who matched 5 of the white balls. The prize amount is $1 million, but according to the official Mega Millions website, one of them opted for the Megaplier and managed to increase their winnings four times to $4 million. Two of those tickets were sold in New York and the other one was sold in South Carolina.
Additionally, there were 25 people who were able to match four white balls the yellow ball. Out of 25, one person was able to increase their winnings to $20,000. The rest who did not opt for the Megaplier won $5,000 each.
$4 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold in Little River
The winning Mega Millions ticket that won $4 million was reportedly sold in Little River, Myrtle Beach Online reports. More specifically, it was sold at a Circle K in the area. The winning ticket is allegedly the second biggest winnings that were sold in South Carolina. The first instance was when a Mega Millions ticket worth $5 million was purchased in the area in October 2015.
August 26 $1 Million Mega Millions Prize Claimed By Bowie Man
A man from Bowie has claimed his $1 million Mega Millions prize after matching 5 white balls, Patch noted. The winning numbers on his ticket were 10, 11, 31, 41 and 44. Should he have matched the yellow ball which was 14, he would have won the Mega Million jackpot prize.
The winner is a 70-year old retired man who used to be a hospital worker. Apparently, he used the numbers from a Lottery playslip he found randomly. According to the outlet, the man will use his Mega Millions prize money to help others and wishes to remain anonymous because of it.
The next Mega Millions drawing will be on Sep. 13, 2016, Tuesday at 11PM ET.
