Megan Fox Quits Twitter: 'What Is the Point?' (PHOTO)
Megan Fox has quit Twitter after only having her account open a week. The actress has said that she cannot understand the reason for it, and says it is "pointless."
The actress made an account on Jan. 3, much to the delight of her fans. The "Transformers" star managed to gather more than a quarter of a million followers within the week that her account was open.
However, on Wednesday she tweeted a message to fans: "5 days on Twitter and I have yet to discern it's purpose. #WhatIsThePoint ???"
She followed that message up on Thursday by addressing her 33 million fans on Facebook. She told them that she had dropped her Twitter account - even though she had tried to see if it would work, she realized that she still hates it.
Fox messaged: "Some of you may or may not have noticed by now that my Twitter account has been shut down."
"I thought that 2013 might be the year that I finally blossomed into a social networking butterfly, but as it turns out, I still hate it."
The 26 year old actress added, "Love you guys but I will just never be that girl. Facebook is as much as I can handle. I'm sorry."
Fox was not overly active on Twitter during the week that she had her account but it does look like she gave it a go. She posted a number of tweets to fans, including showing off some of her Star Wars memorabilia, as well as offering her support to NBA basketball team the Los Angeles Lakers.
She also tried to give her followers on the social networking site a chance to see some of her past, posting a photo from her childhood. In the picture she showed herself and her parents dressed up in what she described as "Wild West" clothing.
