Meizu Pro 6 Revealed as The First Device to Carry The MediaTek Helio X25

Chinese consumer electronics company Meizu is gearing up to release its Pro 6 soon. The official details are not yet released but just recently, the company revealed that the Pro 6 will be the first smartphone to carry the MediaTek Helio X25 processor.

According to a report by GSM Arena, MediaTek representatives introduced the X25 during an event about its Helio line of chipsets. It also unveiled its X20, which is the first chipset with a 10-core CPU. It is also from the X20 that the X25 is based on. The X25 is the enhanced version and comes with three cluster design which include 2x Cortex A72 cores and two quartets of A53.

The event also revealed that the Helio X25 SoC is developed exclusively for the Meizu Pro 6. It's no surprise though as the chipset is co-developed by Meizu. Android Authority also detailed that the company will have exclusive access to the processor for the first several months. Afterwhich, other companies can start purchasing the chip.

As noted in Gizchina, the Helio X25 will be clocked at 2.3 GHz and it will carry a Mali T880 MP4 GPU. The chip is also said to possess the capability to support up to 25-megapixel camera or dual 13-megapixel cameras. It can also support 2K and 4K video taking and fast charging via Pump Express 3.0+. Moreover, it also supports VOLTE and full network. The processor also works to increase performance without affecting the battery life of the device.

As for the specs and features of the Meizu Pro 6, official details are still kept under wraps but rumors say that there will be two variants available. International Business Times reported that one will come with 6 GB of RAM paired with 128 GB of internal storage. The other one will be equipped with 4 GB of RAM with 64 GB of internal storage.
