Memphis Grizzlies NBA Trade News 2015: Desperate to Get Jeff Green, Agrees on 3-Team Trade
To get Jeff Green, the Memphiz Grizzlies has agreed on a three-team five-player trade with New Orleans Pelicans and Boston Celtics, according to sources who reported the information to Yahoo! Sports.
In the trade, Grizzlies would be sending out Tayshaun Prince, New Orleans will trade Austin Rivers then Memphis would offer their first-round pick in 2019 to Celtics.
Grizzlies will also trade Quincy Pondexter and their 2015 second-round pick to New Orleans while the Pelicans will forward Russ Smith to Memphis.

The teams will have the league facilitate the deal to make it official.
However, sources claimed that Rivers would not play for the Celtics but Celtics has already made an arrangement with the Los Angeles Clippers so he could work with his father, LA Clippers coach and president Doc Rivers.
Doc Rivers said he would welcome the opportunity to coach his son. Other members of the Clippers team including Dave Wohl and assistant coaches Mike Woodson and Lawrence Frank advised Doc Rivers to forget about nepotism and open his arms for Austin Rivers.
When asked about his possible team up with Austin he said: "I think a year ago I probably wouldn't. I think I would for sure. I think this team could handle that. He's a downhill guard, which is something we need, so I certainly would [be open to coaching him]."
So far, the 22-year-old Austin Rivers has no outstanding contracts in NBA. However, the Clippers could use this time to reevaluate his potential and see if they can use him as a developmental player.
On the other hand, Green is an outstanding veteran who could score an average of 17.6 points and 4.2 rebounds. Green has a $9.2 million contract for this season until 2016.
