Memphitz Wright Drops Defamation Lawsuit; Toya Shopping Couple's New Reality Show
Mickey "Memphitz" Wright Jr. has reportedly dropped his legal claim against Viacom International, NFGTC, Inc., and Mona's Monami Entertainment following his complaints about "Love and Hip Hop" star K. Michelle.
The 28-year-old reality star husband of Antonia "Toya" Wright filed a legal complaint against the producers of the hit Vh1 reality show in September explained that "the filing of this suit is to compensate for the irreparable damage that has been done to my reputation," according to TMZ.com.
On Sunday, just four months after his filing, MediaTakeOut.com revealed that Wright voluntarily had his claims dismissed, although it is still unclear what influenced his sudden change of heart.

During season one of "Love and Hip Hop," viewers saw K. Michelle, Wright's ex-girlfriend, open up about their history. The 26-year-old stood by her claims that she was subjected to domestic violence at the hands of Wright throughout the duration of their relationship.
Wright, who openly denied her domestic abuse claims, immediately retained legal counsel before filing suit against the show's producers.
"[K. Michelle] has taken full advantage of society's tendency to accept claims of domestic violence as always being true, even in the absence of proof," Wright's attorney Conti J. Moore of Conti Moore Law, PLLC previously said in a statement.
"The only abuse that actually occurred is the malicious and calculated pattern of vicious lies Ms. Pate has assailed for the purpose of fabricating a compelling story line in an attempt to ruin [Memphitz's] name," he went on.
The lawsuit dismissal follows a report that Wright and Toya, 29, are currently shopping a brand new reality TV series to four cable networks: BET, MTV, Fuse and Oxygen.
The show, entitled "Mickey and Toya: The Wright Way," will reportedly center on the couple's marriage and their attempts to establish a new business.
The show will mark Toya's third as she has previously starred in BET's "Tiny and Toya" and "Toya: A Family Affair."
