Mesosphere News: Startup Company gets additional Funds Courtesy of Hewlett Packard and Microsoft

Mesosphere has announced that it got a $73.5 million funding round courtesy of Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Microsoft. As of this writing, the company already has $126 million in total funding. With this amount, there is no stopping Mesophere from becoming a force to be reckoned with in the information technology arena as the start-up company makes a business out of open-source technology that can coders can avail of for a free download.

Apart from announcing the new funding that it got, the startup company that offers "data center operating system" like Apache Mesos, also disclosed that it will soon launch another product called Velocity, a software that will allow continuous integration (CI) and contentious delivery (CD) and its 1.0 release of the Marathon open-source software.

"A large number of major companies, including eBay, already run massive CI/CD environments built on Mesos, Jenkins, Docker and other tools in order to speed up the process of pushing code live and making developers more agile… Velocity brings these same capabilities to every type of company," Mesosphere said in a statement.

With the announcement of its new products, the company can now have its own identity and set itself apart from those that deploy applications in containers. Nonetheless, this move of Mesophere also puts it in situation where it will be heads on with other companies that offer the same business that it does.

While the technology of squeezing in data centers that aims at improving the capacity of modern software is not exclusive to Mesosphere, as Google, Amazon, and Docker have similar technology, too, each markets their business in their own unique way to make them preferable.

However, despite being a startup company, Mesosphere is determined to make its way to the top of the competition. As it is determined to challenge the technologies offered by its now apparent rivals, Mesosphere has also resorted to pirating talents. Reportedly, just last week, a high-profile engineer from Docker made the big switch to Mesosphere.
