Miami Dolphins vs New York Jets Live Stream: Watch NFL Football 2017 Online
The Miami Dolphins and the New York Jets are set for a big clash on Sunday in Week 3 of the NFL 2017 regular season. The game has a scheduled start time of 1 p.m. ET and takes place from MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford. The game can be watched on TV on the CBS network or online through live stream (details below).
Neither New York team has won a game yet this season, and the 0-2 Jets will be desperate to claim their first win today at home against the undefeated Dolphins.
Miami missed Week 1, and their postponed game will be played at a later date, but the one game they have played resulted in their first win, and they will hope to claim a road win today to maintain their momentum and leave on 2-0.
These two teams know each other well and have already met 102 times in their all time regular season series So far the Jets are slightly on top with 53 wins compared to 48 victories for the Dolphins (there has been 1 tied game).
The Jets know if they can nullify the threat from Miami's running back Jay Ajayi then they'll have a good chance at taking this one. Ajayi piled on 122 rush yards by himself last week to ensure Dolphins fans that he will continue his excellent form from last season.
New York will also be looking to attack the Dolphins' weak pass defense - a unit that gave up 323 yards against the Los Angeles Chargers last week. Last week, quarterback Josh McCown did not throw any interceptions, which is progress, and if he can start well he could gain more confidence against a Miami defense that could give him more space and time than McCown has been offered so far this season.
Earlier this week, Thursday's game between the Los Angeles Rams and the San Francisco 49ers turned out to be the highest scoring game in the history of NFL Thursday Night Football games, with the Rams claiming a 41-39 victory to move to 2-1. The 49ers meanwhile suffered a third straight loss to drop to 0-3, and their season is immediately on the brink.
The highest scoring game for Thursday Night Football prior to the Rams vs 49ers battle was the 2014 meeting between the Chargers and the 49ers. Again in that game the 49ers came out on the losing side, suffering a 38-35 defeat.
Many may have expected the Rams to come out firing on all cylinders, as they had already proven that they have the players to participate in a high-scoring shootout. In Week 1 they scored 46 points. However, the way the 49ers responded and fought all the way was wholly unexpected for most people, but it helped to provide one of the most entertaining games you're likely to see all season.
In the fourth quarter with under nine minutes remaining in the game, the 49ers were 41-26 behind and looked dead and buried. However, then Brian Hoyer led the team to two straight scoring drives.
Hoyer first threw a 3 year touchdown pass to Trent Taylor to make the scores 41-33, but even then most thought the touchdown was more a consolation prize rather than the start if an amazing fight back from the 49ers.
But from the restart, Rams' returner Pharoh Cooper fumbled to hand the ball straight back to the 49ers. Sn inspired San Francisco team then pushed forward for eight plays before a one yard run by Carlos Hyde got them into the end zone to pull the score to 41-39.
The 49errs went for the two point conversation to bring things level, but were unable to pull it off, leaving them two points behind and facing defeat.
But the breathless finale to the game was not over yet. From the restart the 49ers recovered the onside kick and it looked like they might pull off one of the most amazing comebacks. But soon after, Hoyer was sacked by Aaron Donald on a fourth-and 20 play, and the game was over.
However, the ending of the game revealed some fight that many thought the 49ers were lacking, and that could give them hope that it will not be all doom and gloom this season in the end.
