Miami Heat NBA latest news: Dwyane Wade misses game with son in hospital

Miami Heat superstar shooting guard Dwyane Wade missed the Miami Heat's Thursday game to attend to his ill son in the hospital, while the Golden State Warriors set a franchise record.

The Heat played the Utah Jazz at home and won with a score of 92-91, and has now improved their record to 6-3. The team was missing the services of both Wade and guard Gerald Green, who is also serving a two-game suspension for being involved in a fistfight last week.

According to a report by Danny Webster of Bleacher Report, Wade attended to his ill son, and was forced to miss the game. The report adds that the child is already in stable condition.

In another report by Michael Wallace of ESPN.com, teammate Chris Bosh revealed that it was Wade's son Zion was the one who was hospitalized. Wade has another son Zaire, and also holds custody of a teenage nephew.

Wade has played in all of the previous eight games of the Heat, averaging 18 points and 4.4 assists in 28.7 minutes of play.

Meanwhile the Golden State Warriors made franchise history on Thursday, winning ten consecutive games, so far. In a report by NBA.com, the Warriors are now 10-0 after defeating the Minnesota Timberworlves with a score of 129-116.

Superstar point guard Stephen Curry, who dropped 46 points, anchored the team's victory. 21 of those were all scored in the first quarter alone.

In another report by The Daily Mail, the reigning Most Valuable Player hit 15-of-25 from the field, and 8-of-13 from the three-point area. Forward Draymond Green contributed 23 points, 12 assists and eight-rebounds, marking his first double-double of the season.

The Warriors' recent victory makes the current team the first in franchise history to start a season with a 10-0 slate.

The defending NBA champions will be going against the New Jersey Nets on Saturday, at Oracle Arena.
