Miami Heat NBA Trade Rumors: Team Remains A Significant Force Even Without LeBron James

The Miami Heat losing LeBron James to the Cleveland Cavaliers was a huge blow to their roster but they are still looking to be one of the better teams in the Eastern Conference.

Despite the loss of James, the team has brought back long time players like Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh, as well as signing newcomers such as Luol Deng.

Starting point guard Mario Chalmers will be a key player during the 2014-2015 season as he will be relied on more or less by the others to create scoring opportunities. His efficiency will drop with the departure of James but neverthless, he is still important to the team.

Similarly, Wade will be an important player for the Heat's offense in the 2014-2015 season. With James gone from the picture, he will have to step it up a notch alongside Chalmers to make something happen.

There are concerns about Wade's health but during the summer, he has significantly lost weight in preparation for the upcoming season.

James' replacement as small forward, Deng, won't necessarily fill the gap the superstar has left but he will be more than enough to allow the Heat to finish in a good place in the Eastern Conference. Deng is set as one of the best wing defenders in the NBA and he will help the team establish their defensive presence from the start.

Offensively though, Deng won't be as reliable as James as he is not a strong shooter with only 30.2 percent from the 3-point line.

A lot more players contribute significantly to the Heat's probable success in the East like Josh McRoberts, Norris Cole and Reggie Williams.
