Two of the nation's top basketball franchises will face off today with the Heat being strong throughout the season so far. They come into today's clash on 21-6, where as the Lakers are below .500 on 13-15.

If the Heat can win again today they will extend their win streak to six games. At the other end of the court, the Lakers will be looking to snap a two game losing streak by causing an upset today.

Michael Beasley will be a big player today; he has been having a fantastic season so far, and is averaging 11.3 points per game from the bench, while shooting 53.5 percent from the floor. That statistic is nearly nine percent higher than his career percentage to date.

A player in his form coming off the bench shows the depth of talent in the Heat's roster, and that is not matched across court with the Lakers. Los Angeles are lacking depth and that has been shown with the recent injuries to hit their roster.
