It was confirmed by Schumacher's manager, Sabine Kehm, that the F1 legend was no longer in a coma on June 6, the next year. After being out of the hospital, Schumacher was transferred to his family home near Lake Geneva. There he was treated and rehabilitated round to clock by a staff of 15 medical professionals headed by Professor Jean-Francois Payen.

Official Updates Hard to Come By

Official updates about Schumacher's condition are hard to come by as the family imposed a news blackout regarding his condition. While he has recovered from the coma, the seriousness of his injuries is critical and Kehm requested fans and the media to keep their expectations of Schumi's recovery realistic.

Kehm mentioned in tiny updates that Schumacher has shown signs of little improvements but is not certain about full recovery. She also mentioned that Schumacher planned to lie low from the public eye before his tragic accident. In the spirit of being supportive, Kehm and Schumacher's family respected his wishes and maintained the media blackout.

Fully Recovery is Bleak?
Since the snippets of official updates, various health experts have come forward to express their opinion regarding Schumacher's condition. Some medical experts believe that it will be hard for Schumi to completely recover from his head injuries. They said that while Schumi may survive and become fully conscious, he may not be able to go back to his old way of life and function considering the extent of his condition. With rigorous 24/7 professional care and support from family and friends, Schumi's family is still hopeful that the F1 racer will recover one day.
