Official updates about Michael Schumacher's current health condition may still be scarce, but fans have never stopped showing support for both the legendary Formula One racer and his family. It is for this reason that Mercedes Grand Prix's latest move ended up shocking Schumacher's fans.
The seven-time-world champion represented Mercedes in his prime, and after his fatal skiing accident almost four years ago, the brand has expressed their support for their former star by sporting the message #KeepFightingMichael on their racing cars. But this generous show of support seems to have come to an end after Mercedes reportedly dropped the message from their new race car before the upcoming F1 season even begins in Australia.
But there's more to this act than how it appears on the surface. Apparently, Mercedes has decided to take the #KeepFightingMichael message off to eventually replace it with something that will more closely express their support for the "Keep Fighting" initiative.

The "Keep Fighting" initiative is a movement founded late last year with the goal of encouraging people to fight for life the same way that Schumacher has been fighting for his own life for years following his accident. And to further promote this message, the initiative gave the first "Keep Fighting" Award last Jan. 30 to Rio Paralympics gold medalist Vanessa Low who has continuously displayed an impressive fighting spirit despite losing both of her legs when she was only 15.
Schumacher's fans have been drawing strength and courage from the movement, along with the undying hope that the next official update about their beloved F1 racer will be a favorable one. Mercedes wishes to help spread this inspiration through a new support message that they may be unveiling soon.
The legendary car racer sustained a serious head injury during a skiing trip with his family last December 2013. Details about his health condition have been scarce after his family requested for privacy. Schumacher has since been brought home to continue his recovery and rehabilitation in private.
