Michael Schumacher news: Family asks for privacy as F1 legend recovers, racer's exclusively signed Ferrari FXX to be auctioned

As F1 legend Michael Schumacher treads the lonely path toward recovery, his family is given the support they need by friends, fellow racers, and the loyal fanbase on his website.

While updates on Schumacher's condition aren't seen much anywhere, several reports say there has been little signs of progress, despite news of his being out of coma was first revealed by his manager Sabine Kehm 12 months ago via The Telegraph.

The little information known among fans about his condition is that the seven-time champion has been moved to a rehabilitation clinic in Lausanne, Switzerland, a location much closer to the family home in Lake Geneva, according to The Gospel Herald.

Earlier, the racer's wife, Corinna, has sued three tabloids for several speculations about Schumacher's health, including a claim that he was able to speak his first few words after coming out of the coma.

Meanwhile, the famed racer's fans continue to pour love and support for the great Formula One racer they have come to adore, despite the very little information shared by his family to the public.

To relive the many times Schumacher shook the stadium and took the hearts of his fans, Motor Authority is auctioning a Ferrari FXX 29/30 that is bearing the racer's signature. The vehicle will be auctioned on Sept. 26 in Berlin, Germany and is expected to rake in an amount not lower than $2.3 million.

Reports say the track-only model would have been tagged at $3 million in 2006. Another model called the FXX 30/30 in black, was built especially for the racer.

Schumacher has become one of the biggest and most celebrated names in the history of Formula One racing. Throughout his career, he was named "Laureus World Sportsman of the Year" twice, his first being in the 1991 Belgian Grand Prix and his last during the 2012 Brazilian Grand Prix where he topped 91 wins in total.

Shortly after his retirement, Schumacher met a skiing accident in late 2013 and since then has not been spotted out in public.
