Michaele Salahi Lawsuit Dismissed
The lawsuit brought forth by Tareq Salahi, the husband of a former member of the television series the Real Housewives, against Michaele Salahi and Neal Schon, was thrown out after the judge said that it was not a worthy case to proceed forward with.
The lawsuit, which was filed in Warren County in Virginia, was dismissed by Circuit Court Judge Dennis Hupop. He ruled that the lawsuit, filed on Valentine's Day, was "not legally sufficient" to proceed forward.
Tareq was demanding $50 million in damages resulting from the loss of television show contracts that were offered to him and his ex-wife after the two crashed a party at the White House- a widely publicized incident that took place last fall.

Soon after, Tareq's ex-wife ran off with Schon, who is the guitarist for the rock band Journey. The couples actions caused "pain and suffering on Tareq," according to court documents.
Tareq says he and Michaele Salahi were in preliminary contract talks that would have had them appear on multiple reality television shows, including the popular ABC show "Dancing With the Stars."
According to the suit, they also had an offer to participate on the Australian version of "Dancing With the Stars" in 2011, but that was canceled after his ex-wife's actions.
In the suit, Tareq claimed that her actions were a "metaphorical slap in the face." Tareq also claimed Schon humiliated him in public after he had ran off with his wife.
In addition to the monetary damages listed in the lawsuit, Tareq was also seeking damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress, conspiracy to defame, interference with a contract expectancy, unjust enrichment and defamation.
Tareq will have 21 days to amend his lawsuit and re-file, but it is not yet known whether he will take advantage of that opportunity.
However, Michaele's counterclaim for defamation against Tareq is proceeding forward.
