Michelle Le Family Prepares For Memorial Service After Discovery of Body
The family of slain nursing student Michelle Le is set to prepare memorial services for her after her remains were discovered last Tuesday in northern California.
Le's family thanked the volunteers and local authorities who helped them search for her and stated that Le would be given a "proper goodbye."
As for her memorial plans, the family had this to say: "We ask for privacy and respect during this difficult time, as we are grieving and preparing a memorial service for her. Thank you for your support, prayers and thoughts. Our family has greatly appreciated, and would be at a loss, without the help of so many people and volunteers."

Michelle Le's body was found by Carrie McGonigle and her search dog last Saturday during one of the many searches organized by the victim's family. McGonigle is no stranger to family tragedy herself, as her 14-year-old daughter Amber Dubois was killed in 2009.
Le, 26, disappeared on May 27th in 2009. Her last known appearance was at a hospital in Hayward, California, where she worked. She was last seen going to her car. The hospital's security cameras revealed that Giselle Esteban, 27, was present in the car garage at the time of Le's disappearance, Hayward police said. Traces of Esteban's DNA were also found on one of Le's shoes. Police records also revealed that Le and Esteban's cell phone records point to them being in the same area at the time of Le's disappearance.
Esteban has been arrested this month. She admits to having ill will towards Le, but denies having any involvement in Le's death.
Le's family has more plans in regards to her funeral services.
"Please continue praying for and supporting Michelle as our family begins the journey to ensure justice in her honor. We will keep in touch regarding details for public vigil for Michelle," said the Le family in a statement.
