Michelle Williams Describes Desired Christian Love Interst

Michelle Williams, the gospel singer and one third of the R&B group Destiny's Child, recently revealed that she was interested in seeking a relationship with a Christian man with certain qualities.

"...Somebody very confident and sure, and somebody who has something going for them who's working and you see results of the work that they're doing," she said while describing her potential love interest to HuffPost Live. "Somebody that strives me to go a little harder."

Williams, 33, is currently preparing her upcoming solo album "Journey To Freedom." While the singer is casually dating at the moment, she previously revealed that she was not always so happy when looking at her own reflection.

"I'm happy. When I tell you I actually like who I see in the mirror, because for a long time it wasn't like that," Williams previously said in a HipHollywood.com report.

The singer has been vocal about being in a state of depression previously.

"I've dealt with depression," the 33-year-old said earlier this year in a Huffington Post report. "I had to choose to get out of bed and do whatever I needed to do to be happy."

Williams revealed that her depression first began around the age of 15 and spoke about how faith can be used in conjunction with other people to help heal situations.

"We're taught, `Just go to church and pray about it. The Lord is going to heal you.' Well, in the meantime, I believe God-gifted people, physicians, doctors, therapists – that's your healing. Take advantage of it," she said previously in The Huffington Post. "Go see a professional so that they can assess you. It's OK if you're going through something. Depression is not OK, but it is OK to go get help."

Williams recently spoke about overcoming toxic relationships aiding in promoting a happier life.

"When you get rid of, and get out of toxic situations, or remove toxic people out your life, you gotta move forward, and you can't have dead weight," Williams said in a previous HipHollywood.com report. "I love you but I gotta go. Sometimes you feel like this process is lonely. This world is lonely as far as trying to be an artist, but sometimes you got to be alone for a season."
