Lumia 535 Touch Problems, Bug Fixes: Microsoft Developing Update to Fix Issues
Users of the Lumia 535 claimed that they are problems with the phone's touch screen sensitivity, an issue that Microsoft is looking to rectifying as soon as possible.
The Lumia 535 is the first non-Nokia branded smartphone released by Microsoft and during its release, it carried with it a touchscreen bug. The bug inconsistently tracked user input and made it hard for users to activate the menu buttons and use the Swype-styled keyboards because the screen is too sensitive.
Microsoft has heard the complaints and reports say they are planning to address the issue with a bug fix and software update that they will start rolling out soon. The Redmond-based tech firm had yet to release an official statement about the matter though, or announce an estimated date of when the release was coming.
Microsoft has two issues to address though, which is the low touch sensitivity and the multi-touch detection skills of the phone, problems that result in the phone either detecting the user's touch at the wrong place or not detecting the touch at all.
A video from a Vietnamese user may give Microsoft an idea as to the problems they need to address and show others what to expect from the Lumia 535.
The video from Winphone Viet showed problems with the phone's multi-touch feature as the touch screen on the smartphone made it hard for the user to use the Word Flow, which is a Swype-style swipe feature that is available on Windows Phone 8.1 and is used for typing.
Some users have reported that a way to resolve part of the issueis to turn off the Screen Magnifier feature in the phone.
The feature is enabled on all the handsets by default and one way to improve the phone's touch sensitivity and make sure it's able to at least detect the touch at the right spot, users can head to the Settings, then choose Ease of Access and turn of the Screen Magnifier.
