Microsoft Lumia rumors: Images of two new flagship phones leak online
Photos of what appear to be the new Microsoft Lumia flagship phones have leaked online.
Two new smartphones, alleged to be Microsoft's upcoming Lumia flagship handsets, were seen in leaked photos reported to be press images of the devices.
The images, bearing the codenames Cityman and Talkman, were posted on Twitter by known leakster @evleaks and are expected to be officially announced in two months.
Sporting a design that appears to be typical of Lumia devices, the smartphones feature wide top, side and bottom bezels in a block shape with rounded corners. Covered in bright colored plastic, they also feature speakers located at the rear.
The 5.7-inch blue-colored Cityman is likely to be launched under the name Microsoft Lumia 950 XL, while the 5.2-inch black Talkman will debut with the Lumia 950 title.
Both flagship devices will come with Windows 10 out of the box, and will sport a QHD display over 3GB of RAM and 32GB internal storage capacity expandable via a MicroSD slot.
The upcoming Lumia smartphones will have a 20MP Pureview rear camera with a 5MP front facing shooter, and sport a USB Type C port.
According to rumors, the Lumia 950 XL will be carrying an eight core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor running on a 3,300mAh battery, while the Lumia 950 will pack a six core Snapdragon 808 SoC on a 3,000mAh removable battery.
Both devices will feature an Infrared iris scanner, with the bigger handset supporting integrated Qi wireless charging, and its smaller companion offering the same feature, but only through an optional Continuum peripheral.
It is reported Microsoft will be holding a launch event in October where it will be debuting its Microsoft Surface Pro 4, including a 12-inch and 14-inch version of the tablet, and the two Lumia flagship devices are likely to be unveiled at the same time.
