Microsoft Surface Pro 3 Specs, Price and Features: Reviews Give Device Great Ratings
The Surface Pro 3 is a laptop produced by Microsoft and is seen as a fully-fledged laptop instead of a tablet like its predecessors the Surface Pro and Surface Pro 2. The device has already been released Jun. 20 earlier this year and has mostly been well-received with good reviews and ratings.
The Surface Pro 3 is significantly bigger and has more resolution than its predecessors. The Surface Pro 2 only had a 10.6-inch screen whereas the SP3 gets a bigger 12-inch screen with a 2160 x 1440 screen resolution. The increase in screen resolution makes sure that the SP3's up in display size won't suffer a drop in quality.
The switch of the Surface Pro series from tablet to full-fledged laptop just doesn't come easily without the help of some sort of keyboard. Luckily, the Surface Pro 3 has a newly redesigned type cover with a deeper travel and a better feedback as well as a wider glass trackpad. Included with the type cover is a battery powered Bluetooth-active stylus.
While being paraded as a fully-fledged laptop with the redesigned type cover, it can still perform as a tablet when the aforementioned type cover is removed. Interestingly, the Surface Pro 3 manages to do well as both a tablet and as a laptop.
Three models of the Surface Pro 3 can be bought with variations in the CPU, the RAM, and the internal memory included. The price also depends on which features one would like to purchase. The device could go as low as around $799 with an Intel Core-i3 with HD4200, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or as expensive as $1949 with an Intel Core-i7 with HD5000, 8GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
