Microsoft Surface Pro 4 details: screen size variants, feature Windows 10, improved battery life
Microsoft is going to launch Surface Pro 4 soon and details about it isn't much of a top-secret. It's spreading like wildfire despite the company's efforts to keep it low-key in terms of their upcoming event in New York. According to International Business Times, the tech giant is gearing up to formally introduce the follow-up of the 2-in-1 tablet Surface Pro 3 and here are some of the things that interested buyers should know about it.
As said by Digitimes, the next-generation Surface 2-in-1 tablet is expected to come with advanced hardware and will have two screen sizes variants. One will feature a 12-inch display similar to its predecessor, while the other device will sport a larger display with 13 or 14-inch screen.
It is purposely made larger for workers who can easily turn the device into a laptop and easily work on multiple tasks through the use of split-screen. There are also reports about the new device being compatible with the Surface Pro 3 accessories. Thus, the smaller size variant will be able to support accessories such as the docking station. Another great feature to look forward is its processor which is rumored to be Intel's latest fifth-gen Skylake. It will carry the Core i3, Core i5 and Core i7 configurations and help the company compensate for the overheating issue of the Surface Pro 3. With a high-end processor, performance and efficiency of the device will be improved.

The device will also most likely be equipped with Windows 10 out of the box. It will activate the features of full screen apps and will also have a touch friendly interface. The latest version of the operating system will allow the Surface Pro 4 to automatically switch to desktop mode if keyboard is plugged in, notes Android Origin.
The tablet-PC is also expected to have an improved battery life considering the short battery life of its predecessor. A few more hours will be added into the pack and if the rumors about the Skylake processor pushes through, it will significantly help in the optimization.
Details as to when it will launched is still unannounced but it is speculated to take place during the October event of Microsoft in New York.
