The Microsoft Surface Pro 5 is one of the most awaited tablets from the company by fans and tech geeks.
In an effort to win back the trust and favor of those who found the Surface Pro 4 disappointing, Microsoft is making good of their promise to make Surface Pro 5 more worth it. It is rumored that they had to delay the release date of the Surface Pro 5 this year in order to wait out the release of the Intel Kaby Lake processors.

The Surface Pro 5 is rumored to be outfitted with Intel's Kaby Lake processors, which won't be released until the end of this year. According to Neurogadget, it is due to this that the tablet won't be released until the first quarter of 2017.
Additionally, there is a great possibility that the Surface Pro 5 will come with Kaby Lake chips as the most common complaint for the Surface Pro 4 were the battery issues. Although it has been said that the battery issues were caused by the software, the Kaby Lake chips are believed to help improve the issue.
The Surface Pro 5 has also been rumored to come with the new Windows 10 update called Redstone 2 (RS2). The update is believed to be released on the anniversary of Windows 10 this October and there have been speculations that the Surface Pro 5 may be released by then too, Morning Ledger reports.

There have been numerous rumors regarding the specs of the Surface Pro 5. PC Advisor reports that that the Surface Pen stylus will have its own rechargeable battery that can be recharged wirelessly and attached to the hybrid tablet via a magnet.
Apart from the OS and the Intel Kaby Lake chips, the Surface Pro 5 is rumored to have 2 display variants - 2K and 4K screens - for those with different budget. The Surface Pro 5 might also have a USB-C port instead of the usual USB 3.0 port. The cameras, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi features may be upgraded as well.
