Microsoft Surface Pro 5 Rumors: Cutting-Edge Features May Help It Outshine Competitors

Microsoft's Surface line has been all the rage in the tech community, praising it for its sleek design and efficiency. With such high demand, everyone is looking to the rumored upcoming installment to the successful line, the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.

A lot of details about the Surface Pro 5 are still under the wraps, but International Business Times has summarized a few speculations that could hold ground. From its various functionalities to the aesthetics of the product, the rumor mill has been in full swing, showing how much interest there is in the product.

When it comes to its internal components, the most viable prediction is that the Surface 5 could be sporting the latest Intel Kaby Lake Processor with a 16 GB random-access memory (RAM), making its performance with a class of its own. With a Windows 10 operating system (OS), it is expected that it will work seamlessly with an equally efficient processor, creating a powerhouse that every tech aficionado would want to have.

Some other highly anticipated features are a rechargeable Surface Pen and Dock, which the company has patented, making it a great accessory for creative design. Another speculation points out to having a 4K detachable screen, making graphics creation even better, especially when paired with a handy Surface Pen.

Two new features, which would prove to be cutting edge, are the HoloLens support and the Surface Dial. These take the technology of the Surface line to a whole new level, which could easily be an enticing proposition when marketing the upcoming Surface Pro 5.

The expected technology for the Surface Pro 5 could be its winning characteristic, given the tough competition it will be born into. It can be recalled that The Verge has compared it with the Porsche Design Book One, which boasts the VarioHinge, so it will need all the features it can have to outshine others.

These are, of course, to be taken with a grain of salt as information remains scarce. As to its release date, PC Advisor thinks that it could possibly arrive by spring this year.
