Microsoft's Lumia Denim Update Provides Better Camera and Other New Features
Lumia Denim update comes with a faster camera that has new features.
The newest Microsoft firmware has a Moment Capture feature, which allows the user to record videos at 24 fps with 4K quality. There is also Rich Capture, which has both Dynamic flash and Auto HDR that result to better quality photos. The two features can be activated by pressing the camera button longer.
Aside from the new camera, Lumia Denim also provides Live folders. The feature has been available for Android and iOs users and finally, Microsoft decided to catch up. Users can organize their applications, games and photos with these folders.
SMS Merge is also an added feature, which enables users to delete selected messages whether one by one or all at once. The owner can also copy messages and paste it later on.
If iOs has Siri, Lumia Denim has Cortana. The user can activate it by just saying "Hey Cortana." This feature will be available in the U.S. and a beta version will be accessible for U.K. and China.
Glance Screen is also a new feature where users can obtain more information though their notifications, however, this is only available for newer Lumia devices.
As for alarm clock users, Lumia Denim allows the users to customize the alarm snooze times. Store Live Tile is also another feature that displays apps and games depending on the US based customer's download history.
Although the Lumia Denim has great new features, the update is only available for several devices. Lumia 530, Lumia 530 Dual Sim, Lumia 630, Lumia 630 Dual Sim, Lumia 635, Lumia 636, Lumia 638, Lumia 730 Dual Sim, Lumia 735 and Lumia 830 are the compatible handsets.
