'Mighty No. 9' Release Date: Comcept Releases Gameplay Trailer
Upcoming action-platform video game "Mighty No. 9" is going to hit store shelves soon. According to Forbes, publisher Deep Silver and developer Comcept are preparing for the game's release in February next year.
After it had been delayed a couple of times, the game will finally push through. They confirmed it with a new trailer showing a lot of the action and replayability of the game. Some of the new features and gameplay modes that have been added were also revealed in the trailer.
As detailed by GameSpot, the game will include Boss Rush, Challenge and the very difficult one-hit death Maniac mode. In Boss Rush, the boss fights are separated from the individual levels and can be played one after the other. The video also featured the first footage from "Mighty No. 9's" two-player online co-op challenge and online race battle modes. In the Co-op challenge, the characters Beck and Call team up to complete the levels. On the other hand, the challenge mode will have players racing for the highest score.
Slash Gear reported that the game will have the same 2D, side-scrolling gameplay which will expect the players to clear levels and win over increasingly difficult bosses. It will also have "modern, flashy 3D graphics," as well as diverse forms of movement and attack.
Aside from the release of the new trailer, Deep Silver also confirmed that Keiji Inafune, who designed Mega Man, will be present at the PlayStation Experience this weekend even though "Mighty No. 9" is not part of the 113 playable games. He invites everyone to come and say hello.
"Mighty No. 9" will launch in North America on Feb. 9, 2016 for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U on physical discs and digitally. The game will be digitally available on Xbox 360 and PS3, although sources say that digital versions are being developed for PlayStation Vita and Nintendo 3DS.
