Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour in 2014 Will Educate Kids, Claims 'Wrecking Ball' Singer (VIDEO)

Miley Cyrus gained popularity as Disney's "Hannah Montana" and now the controversial pop star insists that her tour will be educational for children.

Cyrus, 21, has been the face of controversy lately as a singer who has seemingly prided herself on her provocative appearance more than her music. The singer first caused a major stir during her MTV Video Music Awards performance in the summer, when she stripped down to a bikini while gyrating on married R&B singer Robin Thicke, 36.

Now that she is gearing up to embark on her "Bangerz" tour, Cyrus said she believes children will learn from it.

"Even though parents probably won't think this, I think my show is educational for kids. They're going to be exposed to art most people don't know about," Cyrus said on Fuse News, while her sister Brandi served as a correspondent. "People are taught to look at things so black and white, especially in small towns. I'm excited to take this tour to places where [art] like this wouldn't be accepted, where kids wouldn't learn about this different kind of art."

However, Cyrus recently spoke about her issues with kids in a W Magazine report.

"I don't love kids. I don't love them because, I mean, I think I was around too many kids at one point-because I was around a lot of kids," she said as the March cover girl for W Magazine. "They're so (expletive) mean. Sometimes I hear kids with their parents, and I want to go over and, like, smack them myself…"

The entertainer went on to give some examples about some negative encounters that she had with children.

"Like if they meet me, they'll be like, 'Mom, don't you know how to use an iPhone? Like, can you take the picture,'" Cyrus recalls in W. "I'm like, 'Dude, if I ever talked to my mom like that when I was a kid, I would have had no phone, no computer, no TV, no anything.' And so, yeah, kids are just mean."
