Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth Put Wedding on Hold, Working On Relationship
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have reportedly put their wedding on hold are are working on their relationship, it has been claimed.
The Hollywood couple were reportedly planning on walking down the aisle in Palm Springs, Calif., but a recent cheating scandal put strain on their relationship. Hemsworth, 23, has yet to publicly address claims suggesting he had a secret tryst with actress January Jones, 35.
"They were supposed to get married in June but there have been so many problems with them, they thought it was best to work out their issues before making such a big commitment," a source told Life & Style magazine.
"They aren't ready. Their families are both concerned. They don't want to see Miley and Liam get married and then get divorced," the source continued, adding, "they're very young to be getting married."
The "Hunger Games" star proposed to Cyrus, 19, in May after two years of dating, but in February various reports claimed he was caught intimately embracing Jones. The unlikely pair was photographed in a vehicle together after attending a pre-Oscars party in L.A.
"They went to a private house party, and right in the middle of the party, January was clinging to Liam, saying, 'You're so handsome,'" a fellow guest allegedly revealed.
"He kept saying, 'We can't do this here.' Then they left holding hands and went out in the hallway and were making out. She was wasted. It wasn't good," the source went on.
Cyrus immediately stopped wearing her engagement ring after the reports surfaced but has since denied reports of a split.
Actress Elsa Pataky, who is Hemsworth's sister-in-law, revealed that she is unaware as to whether the couple will follow through with wedding plans.
"I don't know," Pataky said when asked by reporters whether the wedding would go on. "If they get married, it would be nice to go [to their wedding]."
