Miley Cyrus on Plastic Surgery: 'Don’t Have to be Fake to be Beautiful'

Miley Cyrus has addressed the plastic surgery rumors following the revealing dress she wore at CNN’s Heroes 2011 awards ceremony Sunday.

The low-cut gown worn by Cyrus spurred speculation from dozens of plastic surgeons that she had received breast implants, but the star posted on Twitter that she is "all natural."

Nineteen-year-old Cyrus wrote on Tuesday, “Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine. I wish they’d realize you don’t have to be fake to be beautiful!”

Cyrus has dealt with the media’s criticism of not only her body in the past, but of her provocative image. After starting her career as a solid Christian, Cyrus changed her image to a more adult look in her video “Party In the U.S.A.” The video spurred media uproar and many parents discontinued their support of the singer.

The “Hannah Montana” star was under fire last month for weight gain. Outraged, Cyrus retaliated via Twitter.

“By calling girls like me fat this is what you’re doing to other people. I love MYSELF & if you could say the same you wouldn’t be sitting on your computer trying to hurt others,” Cyrus posted on the social media site.

In addition to the post, Cyrus tweeted two different images of women. The first image was of an emaciated female, likely a victim of an eating disorder, and the second was of Marilyn Monroe which included the caption: “Proof that you can be adored by thousands of men even when your thighs touch.”

The actress concluded the issue saying, “I don’t wanna be shaped like a girl I LOVE being shaped like a WOMAN & trust me ladies your man won’t mind either.”

Cyrus is currently dating Australian actor Liam Helmsworth, who has said in a past interview that “when she’s biting into a steak sandwich and there is some steak sauce dripping down her chin, there is nothing sexier,” while speaking to Who magazine.

Also coming to Cyrus’ defense about weight, singer Demi Lovato tweeted, “Whoever called you (Cyrus) that has it coming,” followed by “#curvesareBEAUTIFUL.”
