Miley Cyrus Rep Defends 'Stoner' Comments at Birthday Party

Miley Cyrus' rep has released a statement concerning the singer's apparent affinity and admission of smoking "way too much weed."

Her rep said Cyrus was merely being a "smart a**" when she made those statements, reported TMZ. Cyrus’ rep added it was all one big joke by Miley, as confirmed by her friend Kelly Osbourne – the first jumped to her defense.

"Let me make something very clear after Miley Cyrus' salvia incident we started calling her bob miley as a JOKE!" Kelly Tweeted yesterday. "The cake was also A JOKE! It makes me sick that Miley Cyrus' so called 'friends' would sell her out and lead people 2 believe she is someone that she is not!"

"U guys if Miley Cyrus is not recording/filming/touring she is works everyday how could she possible do all that if she was a stoner! #think," she further posted.

The Daily obtained a video of Cyrus at the Roosevelt Hotel in Los Angeles celebrating her birthday along side her pal Kelly Osbourne. When the cake was brought out she got on the microphone and addressed the crowd in attendance.

"You know you’re a stoner when friends make you a Bob Marley cake. You know you smoke way too much f***in’ weed," she said in the video.

Osbourne jokingly said, "I thought salvia was your problem," referring to an incident from last year where Cyrus was caught on camera inhaling the legal drug from a bong and taking a "bad trip," as she said in the footage.

The singer fought back the controversy over the bong hit claiming it wasn't marijuana she was smoking.
