Miley Cyrus Unapologetic for Yelling at 'Fan'

Actress and singer Miley Cyrus has defended her outburst at a fan while vacationing in Costa Rica earlier this week.

The 19-year-old explained that she "can't tolerate that kind of rudeness."

Cyrus was visiting the tropical country with her boyfriend, Australian actor Liam Hemsworth, when a fan approached the couple and requested an autograph and photos.

The couple posed for pictures and signed autographs, but as they were parting ways, one fan called Cyrus an explicit name.

In response, Cyrus asked, "What the" and also used an expletive, followed by, "Are you for real?"

Then, using her Twitter account, Cyrus wrote, "Been trying not to tweet & just enjoy the holidays but to clear something up I would never swear to a fan."

The actress continued to defend her reaction to the fan.

"When someone yells something so rude making me look like an 'a-hole' in front of fans who I am more than happy 2 take a picture w/ I can't tolerate that kind of rudeness. Every1 who was there apologized 4 the woman's brusque behavior. She obviously wasn't a fan. Hope every1 has a Merry Christmas!"

Earlier this month, Cyrus took to Twitter defending herself against the media's accusations that she had breast implants.

"Thank you for the compliment but these babies are all mine," said the actress on her Twitter account. "I wish they'd realize you don't have to be fake to be beautiful!"

Also, just months earlier, Cyrus was criticized in the media for weight gain. The young star was not the first to defend herself, but also had the support of singer Demi Lovato who is outspoken about her troubles with an eating disorder.

Lovato tweeted, “Whoever called you (Cyrus) that has it coming,” followed by “#curvesareBEAUTIFUL.”
