News of Miley Cyrus's troubles with Hemsworth hit earlier this month. The celebrity couple were reported to have put their wedding on hold to work on their relationship.
The Hollywood couple were reportedly planning on walking down the aisle in Palm Springs, Calif., but a recent cheating scandal put strain on their relationship.
Hemsworth, 23, has yet to publicly address claims suggesting he had a secret tryst with actress January Jones, 35.
"They were supposed to get married in June but there have been so many problems with them, they thought it was best to work out their issues before making such a big commitment," a source told Life & Style magazine.
"They aren't ready. Their families are both concerned. They don't want to see Miley and Liam get married and then get divorced," the source continued, adding, "they're very young to be getting married."
The comments by Billy Ray come as Rapper, Snoop Dog described Miley Cyrus as one of the "greatest musicians and personalities of all time" in a recent interview with MTV.
Cyrus seems to have gained a big fan in Snoop, after recently performing a duet with the rapper on their release, "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks."
The 20 year old singer-actress has had many similar experiences in her life to the rap star, Snoop explained.
"We're both going through transformation, we both love making music and doing what we do and speaking from our hearts, and it's just a great collaboration," Snoop Dogg (also more recently known as Snoop Lion) told MTV.
The rapper praised the young singer, more than two decades younger than him, using words such as "bold," "courageous," and "love," as well as "the greatest."
